Gone With the Wind on Film: A Complete Reference
Hardcover
From Library Journal:
This work is not only a testament to the enduring legend of the film, Gone With the Wind, but a monument to unbridled fascination with film trivia. More than a ``complete' reference to the film, it seems to be an effort to record every fact about the professional life of nearly everyone in, or connected with, the film. The exhaustive bibliography and section on sheet music and recordings attest to this. The level of detail in the sections on sets and costumes is more than exhaustive. Other sections deal with the transformation of the characters from book to film and the credits of the cast. There is, however, little in the way of general information on the making of the film. For this, Gavin Lambert's GWTW (LJ 1/15/74) is useful. A labor of love; recommended for specialized collections.
