PanoramIX PanoramIX is a special multimedia technology created by IBM that makes it possible for you to "walk around" inside virtual places - right from within your favorite Web browser, and without ever leaving the comfort of your living room. Just as you would in the physical world, PanoramIX lets you choose what direction you want to move in, whether you want to turn left or right, look up or down, or study things more closely. You can even just stand there if you want to. And controlling your movement is as easy as pointing and clicking with your mouse. Before you can enjoy the PanoramIX experience and begin your virtual tour of Margaret Mitchell's house, you will need to download and install a 330k - 880k plugin for your Web browser. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, the download may take 5 - 10 minutes to complete. But the installation is as painless as it gets. Enjoy your PanoramIX experience!

Browser Detection and Setup

What is Browser Detection? The Browser Detector feature has allowed us to help your web browser "think" on it's own. The Browser Detector finds out ahead of time what your web browser will need to see the Gone With The Wind content.

In order to view Panoramic Images you must have a browser that understands Javascript.

Either enable Javascript for your browser or upgrade to Netscape navigator 3.x, 4.x or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x, 4.4.
